| As part of our continuing centennial
celebration Mainland conducted the inaugural Century of Excellence
Essay Contest. Twenty-three contestants submitted entries. Each
of the entries addressed some aspect of the traditions of excellence at
Daytona High School / Mainland High School over the past one hundred
